A Turned Backstool

Materials: American Black Walnut

One of my Laurel "master" works. A conjectural piece with a turned back in the style of a triangle chair (sort of). A more accurate design would have diagonal supports. I decided that for a piece that would be toted around to events, they were more likely to break than not (I was wrong, and have done a couple with the struts since). Seat made of thin slats. Finished with linseed oil and beeswax. For more information, click here.
